2027 프로젝트 《드러난 형태와 색 : 비움의 공간적 실현 Revealed Forms and Colors: Spatial Realization of the Void》

이 프로젝트는 비움아트®가 견지해 온 '알지 못함'의 궤적을 대형 건축적 스케일로 확장하는 작업이다. 직관적인 가위질이 만들어낸 한지의 절단선은 고해상도 디지털 데이터로 스캔 및 치환되며, 이는 다시 물리적 공간 안에서 한지를 주재료로 한 유연하고 견고한 입체 구조물로 재탄생한다.

크기의 확장을 넘어, 이 작업은 가위의 궤적이 남긴 '비어있음(空)'을 통해 투과되는 빛을 공간에 시각화한다. 모니터상의 디지털 연산으로는 온전히 담아낼 수 없는, 실제 빛과 천연 한지의 섬유질이 상호작용하며 빚어내는 물리적 색채를 구현하는 것이다. 이를 통해 관람객은 정보의 홍수 속에서 상실된 존재의 전체성(True Self)을 대면하는 입체적인 명상의 공간을 경험하게 된다.

2027 Project: Revealed Forms and Colors: Spatial Realization of the Void

This project expands the trajectory of the 'unknown,' a core philosophy of 비움아트® (Vium Art™), into a large-scale architectural dimension. The cut lines in Hanji (traditional Korean paper) created by intuitive scissor work are scanned and converted into high-resolution digital data. This data is then reconstructed in physical space as a flexible yet robust three-dimensional structure, utilizing Hanji as the primary material.

Beyond a simple expansion in scale, this work visualizes the light that permeates through the 'void' left by the scissors' trajectory. It manifests physical colors created by the interaction between actual light and the natural fibers of Hanji—phenomenological qualities that digital computation on a monitor cannot fully capture. Through this spatial realization, the installation provides a multi-dimensional, meditative experience where viewers can confront their True Self, often lost within the vast world of digital data.
